20 Years Of Sorrow Loneliness And Wasting Away

20 years of Sorrow loneliness and wasting away

It has been 20 years since Islamic terrorists attacked the United States by bringing down the World Trade Centers, the Pentagon, and the plane crash in Pennsylvania. When this terrible attack happened America rose up as our ancestors did when Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japan in 1941. We came together and we helped each other. We sent our men and women of the military off to fight to give an account for us. We cheered as they left in airports across the country. We were in a fight for our country. We had to let the terrorists know they did not win. We did this for many many years. We lost so many servicemen and women in the fight we did not ask for.

For those of us that lost loved ones on September 11th, 2001. it only seems like yesterday and not 20 years. we live every moment every day in our hearts and in our minds. We cry daily because we love & miss our loved ones so much that it physically hurts us. Some of the survivors that lost loved ones who could not handle the pain decided to end everything and kill themselves. When you see newscasts about your loved one's death every day for many years it puts a strain on your emotion and your mind and it does affect you. I myself have had health problems to get worse over the years and I attributed it to the sorrow, the pain, and heartache of the loss of my loved one Lisa, the lady I was going to marry. I think of her every day. I cry every day but to no avail.  I know she will not be coming back. I strain every day just to get by doing common housework that everyone does without thinking about it. I have to plan it out days in advance so I will be physically able to do it. Living alone with heartache and loneliness compounded by my physical disabilities makes life very hard and very questionable. The life I live is what you would call a living hell.

Since 20 years have passed things have changed throughout our nation. We were attacked again this time by China releasing a virus that has spread all over the world. As we deal with this virus to this day it has torn our nation and split it into two separate groups. The people that believe the virus is real and what everything the government suggests we do to protect ourselves such as wear masks and get vaccinated for the virus. These people have what is called common sense and should be commended for doing the right thing. Then, we have the other side, these people do not believe they should be forced to wear a mask or get vaccinated for the virus. These people do not understand that we had been attacked in a different way than we were 20 years ago. These people believe making them wear a mask violates their freedom as Americans. What they fail to understand is being free and an American comes with responsibilities and that is to help protect your fellow Americans. So you can say the anti-maskers are un-American. By not doing what the government says is best to do they are putting everybody at risk including the freedom that they cherish so much. So we are fighting amongst ourselves splitting into several different groups. People will not even talk to each other if they are on a different side of this issue and it has turned violent in some cases. With what is going on in the current events overseas and here on the Homeland you can say the terrorists have won.

To my sweetheart Lisa I love you today as much as I did 20 years ago. I think of you every day and I miss you every day of my life. I wonder and think of what we would be doing now, what our kids would be doing, and how they would be growing up being teenagers now. It all makes me so sad and lonely thinking about it but that is all I have. And yes darling it does make me bitter at times. When I see people with their kids talking about marriage it breaks my heart that we're unable to get married and have a family of our own. This time of year is always hard for me sweetheart. I miss you so much till it hurts deep inside my soul. But this year is even worse. Your uncle Ron is missing overseas and we do not know what has happened. Your father is getting reports from the agency but they do not know what has happened. I pray they will find him safe but I am afraid I must prepare for the worst. This will indeed go down as one of the worst September's I've ever had to live through. I love you sweetheart with all my heart.

Nineteen Years Of Loneliness And Heartbreak

Today marks the nineteenth anniversary of a bunch of rag headed sons of bitches killing 3000 Americans on 09/11/2001. Today we still face those same SOBs threatening our freedom. We must stand firm against them. We also have a threat from within factions of uneducated Americans that have no clue as to what being an American is all about is trying to change and take over the nation. If we don’t take back control of this and bring back the real America then the rag heads have won and we will cease to exist and America will fall.

I have spent nineteen years longing for you my darling.

My heart still aching for you in my life to make it whole once again.

For these long years I have not been happy at all, yes I put on like I am but deep inside I am just in a state of existence to get by. I miss you so much sweetheart that it hurts every day of my life. I have only a few friends that talk to me. Casey is still watching my six as he did when we worked together at the bureau. I try to talk to people on social platforms but they just ignore me so you know what I think of them. I try to keep myself busy but my thoughts always return to you darling. Because in my heart you died just yesterday and I can’t shake it. I miss you so much darling you are my love of a lifetime.

Eighteen Years Of Sorrow And Heartache

It’s been eighteen years since I lost the love of my life Lisa in the terrorist attacks on 9/11/2001. I have been through every emotion you can imagine and some you can’t. I think of her every day of my life and I miss her so much that it hurts my very soul. My life has changed so much since that day, I am not the same person I was before the attacks that took her away.

I see my country going down a path of destruction that we may not be able to stop. We are seeing the very kind of people that killed Lisa being elected to public office and that is wrong on so many levels. Seeing this hurts so much. But what hurts me more is people that I thought were my friends have turned out to be just as bad as the terrorists themselves. You see showing the photos and videos of the towers on fire and falling down is very, very hard for the people to see that lost loved ones. I have written a blog about why they should not be posting photos and videos of the event. But they are so ignorant and stupid they keep doing the same thing to try and get a political message out. It shows a lack of intelligence on their part that they have to use the photos instead of their words to get their point across. These people need to be ostracized from the community for being just as bad as the terrorists.

Sweetheart, I miss you so much I think of you every day. I remember all of our plans for our life together. I remember you designing our house your dad was going to have built for us. We were on track to a great life together as man and wife and a few kids. I miss holding you in my arms and telling you how much I love you. When I was hurt in the line of duty you stood by me and told me we would work it out because I was your everything in your life. You told me we would have a beautiful life together full of love and grace. But that did not happen for us. I guess I am still bitter about losing you because I love you so much and would do anything for you. If I could I would have taken your place, but I feel a part of me died that day too. I will never be the same and I will never be happy for the rest of my life. I lost my best friend and my love of a lifetime. I love you, darling.

Another Christmas

“Another Christmas”

Another Christmas without my sweetheart,
Another Christmas that we are apart.

Another Christmas without your beautiful blue eyes,
Another Christmas that part of me dies.

Another Christmas without your beautiful blonde hair,
Another Christmas alone I must bare.

Another Christmas without your beautiful smile to brighten my day,
Another Christmas that I remember, cry and pray.

Another Christmas with a heart that is broken in two,
Another Christmas without you as sweet as the morning dew.

Another Christmas thinking of the day you went away,
Another Christmas asking why it couldn't have been me that went away.

Another Christmas that I miss you with all my heart,
Another Christmas that we are apart.

Seventeen Years Of Heartache

It has been 17 years since the attacks of 9/11, it seems to me that it only happened yesterday, the day I lost the love of my life.  I have seen so much change in America and most of it not for the good. I see too much of the Muslim influence gaining strength in America. We must remember on 9/11 we were attacked viciously without provocation and over 3,000 of our citizens were murdered on that day. As we remember the 17th anniversary of this tragic event please remember that the victims of that day are still hurting from the loss of their loved ones. A few of the victims have since went on and decided they could not live any longer with the hurt that they have suffered at the hands of those animals.

I was part of a group on a forum for people that lost their fiance's in the event. When I started in the group we had about 30 to 35 individuals that was active in the group. The group disbanded about a year ago after only 10 individuals were left. Some moved on with their rehabilitation, about 15 committed suicide because they could not handle the tremendous loss and change of life they had experienced. As for me the past 17 years has been a living hell of loneliness and despair of what could have been if it was not for the animals that took my loved one’s life.  I get angry every single day I wake up alone and remember what was done to so many people and myself. Friends do not understand the loss of this type, the type that we see on the news everyday reminds us of our loss. It is like the loss of the loved ones from the attacks on Pearl Harbor back in 1941. I sit everyday thinking about my Lisa. Friends and family cannot understand why I have not moved on. It is because my life was destroyed on that day 17 years ago the life we had planned, the children we were going to have, the ranch we were going to start and the love of each other to pull us through that is gone. People that say they are friends do not come by to see me they do not even call me I wonder sometimes if it is because they do not know what to say or do they just not give a damn.

My darling I think of you everyday and my love for you is just as strong as it was when I asked you to marry me. I wonder every day what we would be doing if we were together and it saddens my heart that I will never truly know. You brought a ray of sunshine into my life a brilliant golden light that went straight to my heart and down into my soul. As I travel down this lonely road of life alone and full of despair the only saving grace I have are my memories of you and I. We had good times and bad times, but together our love for each other pulled us through. We always stood by each other no matter what the circumstances. I remember when I got hurt and could no longer work for the bureau. You told me that you would stand by me no matter what, that  we had been living by the wedding vows that we were going to be taking in June of 2002. You told me you would be by my side and support me in anything I would do. So sweetheart on this 17th anniversary of me losing you please remember I love you with every fiber of my being and you are still and will always be my Love of a Lifetime.

An Old Friend Passed Away

The following is about an old friend who passed away recently.  He was remembered by many as being a former mayor of McDonough, but he was much more than that.  He was Mr. Richard Craig who was born on July 1, 1934 and died on January 18, 2018.    Richard was the son of John Hugh Craig, Sr. and Mildred Cowan Craig.    He came from a large family that is well known throughout the area.  His late siblings were Hugh Craig, Jr., Lamar Craig, Robert Craig, Herbert Craig, Larry Craig, and Martha Craig Bolien Watts.   His loving wife Nancy survives him as well as many children.  He is also survived by his brothers Bobby Craig, Mike Craig and Sammy Craig.  I remember Richard talking about his being in the US Army.  He played a key role in the sports, and political area of the county over the years.  He was on the Henry County School Board for ten years.  He loved to play in sports such as baseball at Craig Field on McGarity Road.  He served as councilman of the City of McDonough before serving as mayor.  He was currently on the Henry County Elections Board.  He was a charter member of the Henry County Moose Lodge, past president of the Henry County Kiwanis Club.  He was president of the Henry County High School Booster Club and president of the Henry County Recreation Board.  He was inducted into the Henry County Sports Hall of Fame and the ASA Georgia Umpires and Coaches Hall of Fame. Richard Craig Field is at Alexander Park as well as Richard Craig Park off of Zack Hinton Pkwy.  I remember him coming to eat at the Little Diner on Hood Street in McDonough with my parents Emmett and Elaine Moon.  He worked for Southern Bell at that time out of the building on Griffin Street in McDonough.  He was very helpful to us when my dad had to have open heart surgery in 1974.  I can still see him talking at the Craig Brothers Phillips 66 station in town, which is the welcome center today, with his brothers Herbert and Larry.  We would all usually in up at the Country Kitchen Catfish Restaurant at Barnesville, GA on Saturday nights.  Great memories from my youth. Richard was a forward-thinking man who knew the possibilities of what can be for an area.  McDonough and Henry County lost a true friend when Richard passed away.

Turning Fifty And Missing You Sweetheart

It’s been sixteen years sweetheart since you were taken from me on that clear blue September day. I have thought of you every day and I still miss you so much that tears still flow for you. For some time now I have been thinking of you in a different way. This year I will turn fifty later in September. I still see you as that beautiful twenty six year old that I lost. It’s hard to see you as a forty three year old lady you would have been. I think of what our kids would be now. They would be just a year or two younger than my grand niece Victoria. She was born in late January after you were taken from me. You would have love Vic she is a little like you were a little tom boy, but also a little girly too. She was born just four months after you were gone and she saved me from going crazy over losing you sweetheart. You see my niece Kristie needed someone to watch Vic, so she could work and I said I would watch her for Kristie. Vic helped me to keep my mind busy from your tragic passing.

After I was injured on the job, and we decided I would run our farm and raise a small herd of ostriches, I think of what our farm would be like now with the horses and the birds. I can see you teaching Vic and our kids to ride horses and how to take care of them. I think of how well you would have done in your architectural and engineering work you loved so much. Whenever I see a couple I can’t help but think of us and how happy we were together and then I think of what would have been, and I get very sad and lonely in my heart. Baby, I miss everything about you. Your long golden hair, your bright blue eyes, your caring heart, your love. But most of all I just miss you being next to me and having my back on things. I look back and I can honestly say the six years we were together were the years I was alive. So, as I am about to be fifty years old I can still say you will always be my love of a lifetime.

Alfred Britt.

Photographs, Memories Of You.

I look at your photograph and remember there was no mountain we could not climb,
Looking at your beautiful smile takes me back to a wonderful time.

I have photographs of you throughout the house,
My love for you is so strong it cannot be dowsed.

I think of your love that you gave freely,
For you to be in my arms looking into each other’s eyes is what I need really.

I have photographs of you and your bright beautiful smile,
I remember the love you had for me with your own kind of style.

Your photographs remind me of the time I was truly alive,
For the past sixteen years, I have ceased to live without your love by my side.

As I am about to turn fifty years old,  I still see you as the twenty six year old sweetheart I lost,
But I know you would be a beautiful lady now, but without you by my side, I am living in a world of the tumbled and tossed.

It’s Been Fifteen Years Of Darkness

It’s Been Fifteen Years Of Darkness

Sweetheart it’s been fifteen years since my world ended and life became cold, lonely and empty without you as my wife. The day you were killed a large part of me died too and I have not been the same since. I have thought and cried for you every day since that  September day. Friends and family have told me I need to move on with my life. But how do you do that when a large part of my life is missing. Your best friend Jill has been talking to me. She told me you would want me to move on and make another lady as happy as I made you. I have been giving it thought but I always think about you and I stumble back into my cold dark hole in my heart. Later this month I will turn 49 years old, you know baby one of my biggest fears was being alone. I have struggled for 15 years of being alone without you in my life. I am writing a book about our 6 years together in hopes that sharing our story with family and close friends will help me heal and give a better understanding of what we meant to each other and the pain I am in and have been in for 15 years. You will always have a large part of my heart till the day I die sweetheart even if I move on with another lady in my life. You made an impact on my life that I will never forget. You gave me hope that I had value in this world by your love for me and my family. You showed me that even someone like me could be loved by a beautiful, smart lady like you. You gave me the strength to do the best I could in all I would do. You had me sitting on top of the world with your beautiful blue eyes looking into mine and saying you loved me with all your heart. I will never ever forget how much you changed my life and what all you did for me. Baby you were my love of a lifetime.

Famine

He sits in a cold lonely corner crying,
His eyes watery and red with no signs of drying.

He remembers times of the past with a gleam in his eye,
Those times were great, he felt so alive to be happy he must try.

He looks around his house at all that could be,
But he also sees the emptiness of it and the cold returns by degree.

He remembers the beautiful love he had,
Death took her in an instant and times he gets mad.

At times he puts up a good fight to keep trying,
But the slightest setback and he is back in the corner crying.

Without his own family, he can’t seem to get a good life to start,
He returns to the cold lonely corner crying suffering from famine of the soul and heart.

As we remember the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 remember we are still in danger from terrorist to this day. We must remember the families that lost loved ones on this day. They are still hurting and will be hurting for the rest of their lives. It’s been 15 years and I see a diminishing of events to honor those that died that day and that died to punish the offenders. I do not understand this at all. We were attacked and our loved ones were murdered on that day. Do you not give a damn about your own friends and family? We must fight to preserve our way of life and if that means closing all borders and immigration into the Country then so be it and if it means kicking out some then so be it too. We need to build up our military to be the biggest baddest beast there is in the world. We must fund the FBI, NSA and CIA so the military knows what to fight and kick ass.  It’s time America took a stand and to hell with what the rest of the world thinks about us. Now let’s get to work people we are Americans!!

Merry Christmas!!!

I would like to extend a very Merry Christmas to everyone and may your days be safe and sound during this time.  Remember this is the time we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Take time to remember why  we celebrate and thank Him for all we have and for our lives.  Father in Heaven I come to thee to ask for a blessing upon everyone this Christmas time.  Father we humbly ask for forgiveness for any transgressions and ask that you be the lifter of hearts at this time.  Thank you Lord for all that you bestow upon us each and everyday.  It doesn't matter if you are sick or well raise you voice to heaven and say thank you.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
May God Bless all at this time,

It’s been 14 years

It’s been 14 years since terrorist attacked us on September 11, 2001 killing 3000 Americans. Over the years we have seen America rise up, and help each other in the aftermath. Pride swept over this land, proud to be American and proud of our Military. America came together because our homeland was being threatened by a force that wants to destroy what our founding fathers built with their sweat, blood, tears and yes their lives.

The past few years, I have seen all the caring and pride for each other and America dwindling very rapidly. It started when the same threat that attacked us in 2001 became more prevalent in America. We are starting to slide down a slope that our Nation might not be able to recover from. It’s time we get our attitude back, that we have the best Military in the world, and if you mess with us  “We will put a boot up your ass.” We are the top dog in the game if you want to play we are ready. Americans love to fight, they love the sting of battle, we started the Country with a battle and it’s the only way we will keep it. And for the people that don’t like it, get out of our Nation we are Americans!

I ask you to remember what America stood for years ago when we lived as a great Nation. Remember our Military Men and Women that have died keeping us free. Remember the Firemen and Policemen that gave of themselves, and some did give all that day. And through years to come, through sickness from the debris at ground zero.

I ask that you remember the victims that were killed that day, and their families and loved ones. Please say a prayer for the families of the victims of that horrible day that we suffered. They are still hurting from the sudden way they lost loved ones. I have been in contact with a few of them and I am one also. I lost my fiancé  on that day. We need your understanding that we lost loved ones in a horrible way that we hear about all the time on the news. Some have been able to move on, but many have had a very hard time with their loss of loved ones. Some family members feel that their life force was zapped out of them on that day. So please show compassion for us as we try to live a life that is empty and alone.

To my sweetheart, a day does not pass that I don’t think of you. I miss your laugh that was like a rose petal just as it opens. I miss your beautiful golden hair that was like honey. And your eyes that were perfume that melted my heart every time I would look into them. Your heart was pure gold full of love that I knew was right for me. I miss you so much darling that I will never be complete again in my life. I still play one of our songs, it reminds me of the first time you said you loved me. I knew then I had found the love of a lifetime in you sweet heart. You made me feel so alive knowing that we were in love so much. So baby here is our song, you are my “Love Of A Lifetime” https://youtu.be/5ETENrv8cnU
I love you with all my being.

Black History Month Ms. Helen DuBose

Here is another for the series on Black History Month about the late Ms. Helen DuBose

Ms. Helen DuBose passed away on January 24, 2015 at the age of 95 and was a great person in the History of the Black People.  She was believed to be the first black woman in the United States to garner an agriculture degree and was widely recognized for her work in the ways to do organic farming.  Helen DuBose had gone on to earn two master’s degrees in agriculture and agriculture economics from the Tuskeegee Institute.  Helen lived for 32 years on her 12 acre McDonough blueberry farm called Healing Acres.

Helen DuBose was given the 2013 Georgia Organics award named the Barbara Petit Pollinator Award.  The Executive Director Alice Rolls said she contributed so much to the farming culture in Georgia.  Helen was definitely a legendary farmer and agricultural teacher and gave inspiration to so many, especially young African American growers exclaimed Ms. Rolls.  Her work with the land has left a legacy that history will tell and future farmers will benefit.

Helen DuBose was covered by the local paper back in 2010.  She commented that farming was her life.  She said that farming is part of us and that farmers have always been the backbone of America.  Helen grew up on a shade tobacco farm.  This farm produced tobacco for cigars.  She remembered how hard it was for black farmers in the early 20th century.  She realized from childhood that a black sharecropper was at the bottom of the pile except on tobacco farms.  She wanted to learn more about farming and also in the process help those sharecroppers she saw everyday.  She felt she wanted to grow up and see that a better chance for a better living at farming for the black people.

Helen became the first person in her family since slavery to continue through school beyond the sixth grade.  She was the first in her family to graduate from college getting a bachelor’s degree in 1941 at Florida A&M.  She would become the first black woman in the country to earn such a degree. When she left college she went back to farming.  She cultivated some 40 acres that she purchased from her grandfather close to Thomasville, GA.  She also went on to teach high school English in the area.  Helen also worked for the USDA with the agriculture migrant workers in the Everglades of Florida.  As World War II came, she taught programs to increase farm output for the war effort.  During the whole time she worried about the lives of black farmers.  She said that people don’t understand the inequity that exists between the government entities as far as black farmers are concerned.

She wanted her blueberry farm to give the young generation a spearhead to appreciate farming.  As she said you can’t live a day without something from the farm.  She felt that young people are getting a better and healthier view of farming and the needs of the farmers than they once had.  Some are born to be farmers and they should be respected for doing so.

Our world has be blessed to have Mrs. DuBose in our midst.  She has taught many a lesson and has brought forth food for the tables of the uncounted.  Her blueberry farm was exceptional and we will miss her.  The first time I met her was in 1983 when she was 64 years young and still going.  She was a dynamo in the farming industry and will always be remembered for bringing forth a Black Woman of Substance to the world of agriculture.  McDonough lost a legend when she recently passed away.

New Orleans finds homes for all its homeless veterans

In a US first, New Orleans finds homes for all its homeless veterans

More than 300 mayors have vowed to end veteran homelessness by the end of 2015. New Orleans celebrated the new year by becoming the first city to do so.
Most people celebrate the New Year by making resolutions. The city of New Orleans rang in 2015 by keeping one.
At 6 p.m. on Jan. 2, social workers in New Orleans moved the city’s last known homeless veteran into his new apartment – becoming the first US city to effectively eliminate veteran homelessness.
Homelessness advocates around the country are hailing New Orleans as a model for cities around the country looking to end homelessness, not just for veterans, but for all people needing a permanent home.
The solutions that work for veterans are the solutions that work for all people,” says Laura Zeilinger, executive director of the US Interagency Council on Homelessness. “The problem is absolutely solvable when we invest in the practices that we know work.”

This time last year, nearly 50,000 US veterans had no home to call their own, according to an annual count. On Independence Day, first lady Michelle Obama launched the Mayor’s Challenge to End Veteran Homelessness. Since that time, more than 300 mayors, six governors, and 71 other local officials have joined the pledge to house every veteran by the end of 2015.
New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu took that pledge one step further, promising to meet the goal by the end of 2014.
“We owe our Veterans our eternal gratitude for their service and sacrifice to this nation, and making sure they have a place to call home is a small but powerful way we can show our appreciation,” Mayor Landrieu said in a statement Wednesday, announcing that New Orleans had housed all known veterans in the Crescent City.
In total, the city has placed 227 veterans in housing since the start of 2014.
“There’s been a lot of skepticism as to whether this is a problem that we can actually solve and I think that [New Orleans’ progress] is a proof point for us as a nation that this is something that can actually be done,” says Ann Oliva, deputy assistant secretary for special needs at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Part of the reason New Orleans was able to achieve this goal first is because the number of veterans needing housing was relatively tenable.
The annual point-in-time count taken in January 2014 found just 193 homeless veterans. Over the course of the year, outreach workers identified an additional 35 veterans who had not been included in that count. However, in the end, the total number of people needing housing placement was relatively small compared with the numbers seen in larger metropolitan areas. The January 2014 count found 714 homeless vets in Chicago, 1,645 in Los Angeles, and 3,739 in New York.
“There are of course other cities and states that have higher numbers, but the kinds of barriers that they have been able to overcome as a partnership within the city of New Orleans is really just a landmark,” Ms. Oliva says. “If they can do it, I think that other communities can do it. And they can definitely be a model for other communities to tackle this in their own community.”
On any given night, homelessness advocates say, there are as many as 600,000 people in the United State sleeping in emergency shelters, abandoned buildings, and park benches because they have no place to go.
The country as a whole has made strides in addressing chronic homelessness. Since 2005, the number of people categorized as homeless declined by 17 percent, according to the National Alliance to End Homelessness.
But the New Orleans story is the first inkling that total eradication, even for one specific subgroup, is actually possible, Oliva says.
The New Orleans model has been built on an all hands on deck approach that relies heavily on coordination between local, state, and federal agencies as well as the non-profit outreach community and private landlords.
UNITY of Greater New Orleans, the lead agency responsible for coordinating all homeless housing and services in the area, worked with 60 nonprofit and government agencies to meet the mayor’s deadline.
An apartment complex was renovated specifically with the goal of housing homeless veterans and is operated by UNITY.
Now that all known homeless veterans have homes, the city has implemented a rapid response plan to make sure that newly homeless veterans can be placed into housing as quickly as possible. The city has committed to housing every newly identified veteran within 30 days.
In most cases, outreach workers are able to finalize housing placements in as little as two weeks, says UNITY Executive Director Martha Kegel.
“We can’t say that no veteran is ever going to be homeless again,” Ms. Kegel says. “But what we can say is that we are not going to have veterans living as homeless for very long.”

Henry County and L.L. Bean

Henry County and L.L. Bean

I got a L.L. Bean Christmas Catalog in the mail. As I was looking it over it came to me that I cannot afford anything in it at all. The truth be told they are overpriced on all they have in my book. It also has come to me that this Christmas season will be a bleak one at my house. You see being on disability and having a few medical problems I live Month to Month and sometimes not to the next Month. But I do what I can and try not to complain but this year I have to let it out. I have been watching people and they as a human race are losing what it is to be human. It’s the same way with companies also, they forget they serve humans.

There is a war going on and people don’t even know it is happening right in front of them each day. It is class warfare, the people well to do against the people who have very little or nothing.
It is getting old to see the way people are treating each other. I have heard people with tons of money say they don’t need to help people that don’t have much. What would these same people say if they were the ones needing help?

What has really got me mad is the people that don’t have much are being forced to help the ones with lots of money and they will not see any benefit from it. The County Commissioners decided to lie to the people when they ran for office when they told them they would not raise taxes. The Commission had a chance to let the people know that they work for them. But they chose to not roll back property taxes where they should be and help the people. They chose to line the County wallet and the hell with the people especially the poor people of the County. We the people that this action has hurt will never see anything out of this increase tax money we are forced to pay.

There will be no Christmas decorations up this year at this house, my money went to the greedy County Commissioners agenda that don’t include me. So remember me and all the poor people you screwed when you open your presents and have fun knowing you put sad faces on so many people in this County. Hope you have a good Christmas knowing all this and by the way what are you celebrating? True Christians are celebrating the birth of Jesus who believed in helping his fellow man. So what are you and please tell us the truth this time.

Save Henry's Rural Life Style

Why does Henry County want to completely destroy any vantage of the rural life here? Many families moved here from the hustle and bustle and wanted a quieter place to live. Destroying the country atmosphere where crops grow, cows graze and chickens crow is a crime against all that is wonderful about country life.

Bringing a Dollar General Store to Old Jackson Road and Leguin Mill Road will only destroy further more and more of that ideal of life.  Why continue to strip away at the quiet life for our children.  We moved here to raise a family in a quiet setting with fresh air and little noise.  Bringing commercial properties to the country is a really stupid idea.

For some strange reason the county leaders are condoning the rape of Henry County by commercial entities.  What does this say about those leaders?  There are only small pockets of the rural life left in Henry County and more is being encroached upon in the dealings of the backrooms of Atlanta.  We didn’t need a Family Dollar on Walt Stephens Road in Stockbridge and we surely don’t need this Dollar General on Old Jackson Road.  The farmer made this county what it became and we are letting those in power and in business sweep them under the carpet.  They are treated like second class citizens to these people.  Just remember if this is allowed by the Zoning Advisory Board and the Board of Commissioners then you know what to do at the polls next time.

Dreams And Nightmares

It has been 13 years since America was attacked and thousands of her people were murdered and countless affected by the actions of cowards. For me it seems just yesterday that my world turned upside down for ever because it still hurts so much. Sweetheart I dream of the life we would have had together and it cuts my heart like a knife. I think of all the fun and work we had planned on doing in our life with each other and it makes me feel so empty inside when I turn and find you are not there by my side. I feel that sometimes my life has been sucked away from me in the lonely nights and days without you.

I still have nightmares about that day I re-live the moments hour by hour in my mind. They invade my sleep like a devil in the night. I try to keep myself busy to keep from crying. I was part of the team that tried to keep them from building on top of Ground Zero because we feel and know it is a cemetery. But we failed because of greed of money. I have become a watchdog here in Henry County and try to keep the cemeteries here protected but it is a hard fight. I will never give up the fight never. I wanted to let you know that I have never stopped thinking about you and darling I still love you with all my heart and always will.
