“Voter Apathy put through SPLOST V”

Henry County again proved that voter apathy is a virtue in their lives.  Of the over 175,000 registered voters in Henry County roughly just over 16,500 voted in the early voting and election day together.  This is approximately 9.43% of the registered voters who put SPLOST V through and the Sunday early alcohol sales through as well.   This means that barely a handful voted to put these measures through according to the statistics.   Over 230,000 residents, 175,000 registered voters and only just over 7,500 approved SPLOST V.  This tells a story where most of the people don’t care.  For those that do care, the best way to solve this problem is to shop outside the county and online for your merchandise.  Take your tax dollars to another county where the taxes are lower.   This meager election turnout is a continued sign that people are tired of the same old problems.  But don’t complain if you find that you won’t get what you were promised in SPLOST V because a lot of what was in SPLOST I, II, III, and IV didn’t materialize either.  Let us know how all this works out for you because those who don’t care to be involved will one day wonder what happened when the tax is so high they cannot afford to live in Henry County anymore.

More Court Action For Stockbridge?

It looks like there will be more Court action for the city of Stockbridge. After a fiery debate at the July 30th 2019 work session meeting. Near the end of the meeting the city council took up a resolution to censure councilman Alexander. the censure came on the heels of an article in the Henry Daily Herald about councilman Alexander falsely accusing the city council members of not supporting certain initiatives that he believes should be front and center. The initiatives are a senior center and youth center for the citizens of Stockbridge. Councilman Alexander on his Facebook page said that the city council did not support the centers to be built. In actuality the city council does support the centers to be built, however they must go through a process in order for it to be done legally.  Councilman Alexander in the past has done things like this on his Facebook account that has led him to be censured before. Councilwoman Gantt read the censure document however she was constantly being interrupted by councilman Alexander at one point councilman Alexander held a manila folder up to his face while still interrupting councilwoman Gantt. This shows councilman Alexander's lack of moral fiber in conducting himself as an adult. It seems to this writer he acts more like a child who has been caught with his hand in the cookie jar and does not want to face the consequences of his actions. At multiple points in the meeting it appeared to be a free-for-all as the mayor seemed to not have the meeting in control and was flabbergasted at the whole situation asking multiple times of the City attorney what he should do. 

During councilman Alexander's rebuttal of the charges he kept saying that his first amendment rights were being violated.  Councilman Alexander does not understand the Constitution of the United States of America of which he swore to uphold when he became a councilman. He does not believe in freedom of speech I know this first-hand. when I ask to speak to the city council to request a Confederate Memorial Day Proclamation he set out to not have me speak at all and he has boasted about that on his Facebook page. Councilman Alexander kept requesting that his Facebook postings were private.  Councilman Alexander in the opinion of this writer is a moron and should be thrown out of office. Councilman Alexander  has disrupted the city workings of Stockbridge since he became a councilman nearly four years ago. It is because of him that the city has been in court on numerous occasions and it appears now they will be headed back to court. Councilman Alexander said at this meeting he will take the city to court for violating his First Amendment rights to free speech. One can only hope that the judge will see through the shenanigans of councilman Alexander and maybe just throw him in jail and throw away the key or find a nice padded cell for him that would be the best thing for Stockbridge and her citizens.  Stockbridge you can do a lot better than councilman Alexander.  A bowl of limp noodles would be better in my opinion.

Sounds OF Summer Not Liked By All

Hello, I am sending this to your news blog because you don't mind posting the truth.  My name is Aiesha Lemark-Brand and I am an African-American woman who attended the Sounds of Summer Concert in Stockbridge on June 16, 2018.  What was billed to be a huge event for the city was not impressive at all.  I felt really out of place there, because the diversity is non-existent which shows the poor quality of the event.  I know you all have heard white people call lower class whites, "white trash," well I saw plenty of "black trash" at this event.  Until you start having real groups, with real name recognition you will not have quality people come to these events.  This reminded me of the hood.

This past Saturday, May 12, 2018,  Stockbridge yet again demonstrated just how dysfunctional and bias they truly are in the large scheme of things. They held a cemetery clean-up day at Memorial Cemetery. They have done this for the past few years at the same cemetery. Yet there are 13 cemeteries in the City limits and four just outside that could be included. But Stockbridge has consistently left all of them out of the picture and just keep up Memorial Cemetery. All of those buried there are black and were good citizens of the city. But the 13 other cemeteries are a mix of black and white. They all also were good citizens of the city. I have said this before to the city that companies look at how you take care of the cemeteries before they decide to locate to your city or town. Stockbridge has had a lot of bad press over the years and some are calling for the charter to be pulled. 

The bad press got going good just a few years ago when a person was elected to the Council that claims  Atlanta South on everything he speaks like a two dollar whore having a 2 for 1 special. He has cost the city money with lawsuits on top of lawsuits. Just recently he admitted to being the one that lead the charge that would not even let me ask to speak to the Council about Confederate History Month. Yes, he violated my First Amendment right to free speech that he himself claims. I am not the only one he has wronged. He has done more to the point he is in court because of his inept actions as a human. A friend asked me one time what I thought about Mr. Atlanta South. I looked at them and said he would make a great poster child for the use of condoms. But all's not lost with the upcoming vote about the Eagles Landing becoming a City. If the voters pass it he would be out of a job on the Council because he would be in the new City. And I don’t think the new City would elect him to the Council they have seen how he has drug down Stockbridge. I laugh about that all the time how’s that for karma Mr. Atlanta South LOL!!!

I hope the City of Stockbridge will be better but only time will tell. Here is a list of the cemeteries in the City and the others that are so close. Let’s let the City know we are watching them by contacting them and asking why they are not cleaning up the other cemeteries. If they still don’t do what’s right well I guess karma will take over like it did for Atlanta South LOL.

Stockbridge VS City Of Eagles Landing

As we begin to write the following information we want to let everyone know that we are neither for or against Stockbridge or the idea of a new city of Eagles Landing.  This is an informative post.  For some time now there has been a lot of back and forth about the idea of a new city of Eagles Landing being created and Stockbridge is fighting it's creation saying they will be taking part of their city to do so.  Let's go back in history and talk a few facts:

1. The idea of a city being where Eagles Landing is today is nothing new.  It was proposed back in the late 1960's as a city to be called Henry City.  

2.  Later a developer came and created the community of Eagles Landing which was far removed from the City of Stockbridge.  The city limits at the time only went to the rock quarry.

3.  The former mayor the late Rudy Kelley lived in Stockbridge.  They wanted a home in the Windsong Plantation which they got, but in order for him to remain mayor, they had to annex part of that subdivision along with a strip of land down Rock Quarry Rd to it.  Then, they decided to move into the gated part of Eagles Landing and again had a certain area annexed so he could remain mayor.  It was all politics.

4.  It has been mentioned that the people of Stockbridge have never paid property taxes for the city.  That is not true.  The people the city paid city taxes until the State dismantled their police department and the fire department was turned over to the county.  They stopped city property taxes at that time.

5.  The city began talking about having a police department once again, but the only way to have said department will mean they will have to have a property tax to maintain it.  That is a logistical fact.

6.  Stockbridge over the years has allowed developers to come to them to have subdivisions built around the area and thus they would do creative annexations to let them in the city under less than adequate means of construction and smaller lots.  The recent annexation of the property on the west side of I-75 and south of Jodeco Road has been a questionable annexation.

7.  According to the bills before the General Assembly, if there is a City of Eagles Landing formed they will allow Stockbridge to annex other properties and add more people to their city.  There has been made mention that if they form a city of Eagles Landing that it would take over 50% of Stockbridge away and this is simply not true.

8.  The people in the Eagles Landing area are the more affluent and well to do citizens who have the means to take care of themselves.  Similar scenario of the small towns created north of Atlanta by the more affluent which has worked well since their creation.

9.  It has been said that Stockbridge cannot stand on it's own without Eagles Landing, but that shouldn't be the case.  They should not depend on one community to sustain their city.  Stockbridge was a city for a very long time before Eagles Landing was ever built.  They can do just fine if they do the right things in the city.

10.  According to the statistics,  if there is a new city of Eagles Landing created it will be populated with mostly minorities just like the city of Stockbridge.  So, the issue of race should be a moot point.  But of course like everything else this day and time it has raced it's ugly head in this matter as well.

11. Henry County continues to grow and is becoming a hot bed for many different things and another city being added will not make much difference.  There are infrastructure issues that Stockbridge and Henry County need to face and do something about now.  The problem is that when most of the infrastructure projects are due to be built or completed they are obsolete.  Henry County has been a county growing so rapidly, yet are playing catch-up on all the infrastructure issues.  And currently they are failing.  And putting buses on two lane roads are not going to help matters.

12. If they do create a city of Eagles Landing, hopefully the two cities can learn to be friendly to one another.  They don't need to be bitter rivalries because we have already seen too much of that.

In conclusion, there have been a lot of mistakes made along the way in this process that need to be fixed.  There has been a lot bad press and a lot of misinformation flowing about the whole matter.  But when people want to be deannexed and move into another town that means they should have that right with a vote of those involved in that section.  And real politicians learn to compromise to do what is best for the citizens and not what they want for themselves.

An Old Friend Passed Away

The following is about an old friend who passed away recently.  He was remembered by many as being a former mayor of McDonough, but he was much more than that.  He was Mr. Richard Craig who was born on July 1, 1934 and died on January 18, 2018.    Richard was the son of John Hugh Craig, Sr. and Mildred Cowan Craig.    He came from a large family that is well known throughout the area.  His late siblings were Hugh Craig, Jr., Lamar Craig, Robert Craig, Herbert Craig, Larry Craig, and Martha Craig Bolien Watts.   His loving wife Nancy survives him as well as many children.  He is also survived by his brothers Bobby Craig, Mike Craig and Sammy Craig.  I remember Richard talking about his being in the US Army.  He played a key role in the sports, and political area of the county over the years.  He was on the Henry County School Board for ten years.  He loved to play in sports such as baseball at Craig Field on McGarity Road.  He served as councilman of the City of McDonough before serving as mayor.  He was currently on the Henry County Elections Board.  He was a charter member of the Henry County Moose Lodge, past president of the Henry County Kiwanis Club.  He was president of the Henry County High School Booster Club and president of the Henry County Recreation Board.  He was inducted into the Henry County Sports Hall of Fame and the ASA Georgia Umpires and Coaches Hall of Fame. Richard Craig Field is at Alexander Park as well as Richard Craig Park off of Zack Hinton Pkwy.  I remember him coming to eat at the Little Diner on Hood Street in McDonough with my parents Emmett and Elaine Moon.  He worked for Southern Bell at that time out of the building on Griffin Street in McDonough.  He was very helpful to us when my dad had to have open heart surgery in 1974.  I can still see him talking at the Craig Brothers Phillips 66 station in town, which is the welcome center today, with his brothers Herbert and Larry.  We would all usually in up at the Country Kitchen Catfish Restaurant at Barnesville, GA on Saturday nights.  Great memories from my youth. Richard was a forward-thinking man who knew the possibilities of what can be for an area.  McDonough and Henry County lost a true friend when Richard passed away.

There is a problem that has been building in Stockbridge for some time now.  There has been a lot of smoke screens to try and hide what has been occurring.  Power plays, money under the table, and puppet strings have been in play.  The city is wanting to have an over lay project for the area of Hwy 138 from North Henry Blvd to Daniel Drive about a quarter of a mile.  The area west of Daniel Drive to near the I-75 interchange is in Clayton County who is also in this mix.  The story unfolds into a situation that is not unlike Chicago or Detroit with the political structure.

The following from the Henry Herald Newspaper lays out what Mr. Alexander has to say on the subject.

“My goal is to establish the highest standards in metro Atlanta. Currently the level of Highway 138 is unacceptable at this time,” said Councilman Elton Alexander, who has been a vocal proponent of enhancing the corridor. “Our standards have not been high enough, which is why we’ve attracted some of the quality that we have now. This whole goal is to establish the highest code regulations with goals to bring high-quality developments and businesses.”

Existing buildings would not be affected architecturally, but going forward, new businesses would have to adhere to the overlay requirements once adopted.

Stakeholder meetings regarding Highway 138 Overlay guidelines will be held at the Ted Strickland Community Center, 130 Martin Luther King Sr. Heritage Trail. The meetings are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 8, Aug. 29 and Sept. 19. Public hearings will be held in the on the second floor of Stockbridge City Hall, 4640 N. Henry Blvd. The hearings will be held Aug. 15, Sept. 5 and Sept. 26 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The Collaborative Firm LLC, of East Point, will be leading the effort for the Highway 138 Overlay design guidelines at a cost of $35,000.

Now here is where things start to get interesting involving Councilman Alexander and Mr. Hightower.  On February 8, 2016 Alexander honored Mr. Hightower with a proclamation.  

"Proclamation--Recognizing South Metro Development Outlook Conference 2016 Mayor Pro Tem Anthony S. Ford read the Proclamation presented to Michael Hightower, President of the South Metro Development Outlook Conference 2016 and was joined by the initiator, Councilman Alexander."

December 26, 2016 party for African American elected officials that Michael Hightower has aided at the Collaborative Firm in East Point.  Mr. Alexander and other Henry County elected officials attend.

  

Here is more background on Mr. Hightower for you to discern.  In 2000, he was caught up in a corruption scandal that rocked Atlanta and Fulton County governments.  He resigned his seat on the Fulton County Commission and pleaded guilty to accepting $25,000 in bribes for his vote to help a businessman win government contracts. His admitted lapse in judgment resulted in a conviction for public corruption, a sentence of six months of prison time and another six months of home confinement, 420 hours of community service and three years of supervised release.

 

The issue at hand here is there an ethical problem, moral problem and a conflict of interest with what is happening between the City of Stockbridge and Councilman Alexander having the Collaborative Firm to do an overlay for Hwy 138?   This type of activity has been going on in the city for some time now and it looks like there is a power play in the works involving Mr. Hightower helping to fund south metro African American political figures so they can gain office and then have his company do work for them.  And with him being a consulting firm he can also have different people appointed into positions where he can benefit as well.   We often hear from Mr. Alexander about the good ole boy system, but what does he call this?  This is the type of activity that got Mayor Campbell in trouble in Atlanta.  The citizens of Stockbridge and Henry County need to take a hard look at what is happening under their nose.   Look at district 2 and 5 on the county commission.  They were at that party in East Point in December 2016.  That picture of them there tells the story.  The people of Clayton County have the same problem.  Take a look at your chairman of the commission and some of the elected representatives including a state senator whose district covers a part of Henry and DeKalb Counties.  Look closely at who these people really are and who they are indebted to. When the investigations into all this begin it will look like 2000 all over again.

Chaos & Debacle In Mcdonough And Kids Suffer

There was total CHAOS in McDonough on October 27th during the "Uncle Shaq trunk or treat event at the Courthouse parking deck."  There were families waiting in line 2+ hours and got up to the entrance and were turned away.  This was happening between 7:15 and 7:30 pm and the event was billed to last until 8:00PM.  There were kids not only crying, but screaming because they could not get in.  Some have referred this as the "poop show" in McDonough.  And there are several people, of course, taking up for him and his event, but they have no children and did not wait in line with them for over 2 hours.  Just think this man wants to be the next Sheriff of Henry County and he cannot manage a trick or treat event at a very large parking deck in McDonough.  It would be the same CHAOS with him being Sheriff.  This is another bad scar on the face of the City of McDonough thanks to those who want to be in the news and the look at me crowd.  There are mothers and fathers right now that would not give two cents to meet him or have anything to do with an event he is part of because of the way this has been handled.  Remember this will get around and people will stay away from future events because they don't want to wait in line forever to be told to go home by someone who doesn't give a tinkers damn.  It looks like the shenanigans of the City of Stockbridge have moved to McDonough.  Yep looking good there.

A Fair-Minded Council Member For Stockbridge

If you want a good, intelligent, and fair-minded council member for Stockbridge, then you need look no further than the incumbent LaKeisha Gantt.  She has done an excellent job working through some messes in the city that were created before she came to office.  She has worked to try and be fair-minded even with those who she has disagreements with on the council, she still tries to negotiate with them.  She is a mother and knows the importance of a good safe city for children.  Ms. Gantt is an attorney at law for her profession and brings her talents in the legal field to the city.  She knows how to talk with people and she listens and tries to help fix issues that are brought to her.  Ms. Gantt is more than just an elected official she is a friend to the community.  She gives back to her home.  Let's keep LaKeisha Gantt on the Stockbridge City Council and go and vote for her re-election.

Stockbridge Backtracking again

It looks like the City of Stockbridge is doing some backtracking because they see the chance that the Jodeco Project would be cut off from the city if Eagles Landing gets to be a city.  The area would have to be de-annexed from the city.  The Jodeco Project would not be part of the new city of Eagles Landing and would lie back in unincorporated Henry County. The revised deal with RCP Investments who is wanting to build the project is to cover Stockbridge from it's money invested in the project. The following is from the Henry Daily Herald.

"After a three-hour executive session Tuesday, the Stockbridge City Council approved an updated development agreement for the planned Jodeco Road residential and retail development dubbed Jodeco Atlanta South. Because the city is at risk of losing the development should the city of Eagle’s Landing proposal be approved, the revised agreement provides a provision in the case of de-annexation. An original agreement was approved in December 2016 after the city annexed the 158-acre property, located in the southwest quadrant of Jodeco Road and Interstate 75 at 2153 Jodeco Road, into the Stockbridge city limits. The Eagle’s Landing proposal seeks to include properties north of the Jodeco Road development up to the Eagle’s Landing Parkway/ Hudson Bridge Road area. The proposal, if approved, would leave the prospective development separated from remaining city of Stockbridge properties. In the agreement, the city has committed $3 million in SPLOST IV funds to install public roads to provide access to and within the development that are required by the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority. “The Parties acknowledge that should the property be de-annexed from the City or otherwise declared not part of the corporate city limits of the City, for whatever, the City shall be relieved from its commitment to install the public improvements and pledge the city’s financial participation for overall development,” states the updated agreement. The agreement also requires the developer to put a covenant in place stating that if the property is de-annexed for any reason within 20 years from the completion of the public improvements, the property owners shall cause the city to be reimbursed for the full amount of the city’s financial situation within 60 days of the city’s written demand of such reimbursement."

STOCKBRIDGE— Stockbridge Councilman Elton Alexander and the city of Stockbridge could wind up in federal court over alleged First Amendment rights violations, retaliation and defamation.

The lawsuit, filed May 31 by attorney LaTonya Wiley in United States Northern District Court of Georgia, stems from a 2016 incident in which BBQ Masters owner Arick Whitson said Alexander allegedly asked Whitson for free food from his restaurant.

Whitson filed an ethics complaint with the city on Jan. 31, alleging that Alexander attempted to use his position as a council member to get $60 worth of free food from BBQ Masters. The lawsuit indicates the incident occurred in May of 2016 at the the North Henry Boulevard restaurant.

When Whitson refused, the suit claims that Alexander stormed from the restaurant and days later sent code enforcement to Whitson’s business to issue warnings for code enforcement issues. He says city’s code enforcement officer repeatedly harassed him by performing “warrant-less inspections at BBQ Masters,” issuing criminal warning notices, and “summoning Mr. Whitson to meetings to discuss manufactured ‘problems’ at BBQ Masters.”

After moving to a new location on Ga. Highway 138 in late 2016, Whitson claimed the harassment continued, stating in the lawsuit that the city delayed issuing him building and sign permits as retaliation. The city also denied his alcohol permit application without explanation months after filing his ethics complaint, the lawsuit claims.

“The aforementioned retaliatory, harassing denials delayed the opening of BBQ Masters thereby causing financial harm to Whitson and BBQ Masters,” states the complaint.

Since filing the complaint with the city, and speaking about the alleged infractions in the media, Whitson claims the attacks continued, but in a more public manner.

In the lawsuit, Whitson alleges that Alexander called BBQ Masters “a dump,” and “unsanitary,”over social media and in emails and accused Whitson of being a domestic violence offender who has engaged in “revenge porn.”

The lawsuit states Alexander has publicly called Whitson a convicted sex offender with “compulsive psychopathic behavior” and stated that Whitson was involved in a bad check incident.

The lawsuit denies that any of the accusations are true.

The lawsuit accuses Alexander of retaliating because of Whitson’s exercise of constitutionally protected speech, and “damaging Whitson’s reputations through an unfounded campaign of public disparagement accompanied by the deprivation of plaintiff’s property rights as secured by the 14th amendment.”

It further alleges, in part, that Alexander’s actions were sanctioned, condoned and authorized by the city and that the city “failed to properly train its officials and agents from violating the law in the manner decided herein.”

“As a direct and proximate result of defendants’ actions, BBQ Masters has been deprived of rights to which it was entitled and suffered business damage and loss of income and revenue as a result thereof,” the lawsuit states.

City Attorney Michael Williams declined to comment on the lawsuit, but said the city received the court summon late last week and plans to respond within the required 21 days. Alexander also declined to comment.

The lawsuit is seeking a judgment directing the city to issue requested permits, appropriate compensatory damages in an amount to be determined at trial, equitable relief against the city as allowed by the Civil Rights Act of 1871, and punitive damages against Alexander in his individual capacity.

There is a little-known fact about the law that made Confederate Heritage Month and Memorial Day a law for April.  It was made law by the Legislature but never has been repealed.  Governor Deal can change the name on the calendar, but cannot change law.  Here is how GA Law 1-4-20 reads:

(a) The General Assembly hereby finds and determines that tourism is a great economic resource in Georgia; and historical, heritage, and cultural inheritance are among the tourism industry's most popular attractions. Georgia's Confederate heritage, physical artifacts and battle sites, and historic events and persons not only attract visitors, they are potentially of even greater importance and benefit to our state's economy. Increased development of our state's Confederate history and heritage as part of the tourism industry will be enhanced through recognizing, celebrating, and advertising that heritage and history.

(b) The month of April of each year is hereby designated as Confederate History and Heritage Month and shall be set aside to honor, observe, and celebrate the Confederate States of America, its history, those who served in its armed forces and government, and all those millions of its citizens of various races and ethnic groups and religions who contributed in sundry and myriad ways to the cause which they held so dear from its founding on February 4, 1861, in Montgomery, Alabama, until the Confederate ship CSS Shenandoah sailed into Liverpool Harbor and surrendered to British authorities on November 6, 1865.

(c) Officials and departments of state, county, and municipal governments, boards of education, elementary and secondary schools, colleges and universities, businesses, and all citizens are encouraged to participate in programs, displays, and activities that commemorate and honor our shared history and cultural inheritance throughout each April during Confederate History and Heritage Month.

A resolution was introduced this year to have the names put back on the state calender.  It didn't pass because it was introduced too late in the session, but it will be up front next legislative session.

This year once again the City of McDonough the county seat for Henry County, GA will recognized Confederate Heritage Month and Memorial Day on the square in McDonough with a Proclamation by Mayor Billy Copeland.  This by far makes the City of Stockbridge look bad as McDonough has more clout and more class than they will ever have.

The Spalding County Board of Commissioners recently voted unanimously to recognize Confederate History Month and Memorial Day with a Proclamation on April 3, 2017.   The Harlason County Board of Commissioners recently voted to recognize Confederate History Month and Memorial Day with a Proclamation.

16th Annual Stone Mountain Memorial Service

16th Annual Stone Mountain Confederate Memorial Day Celebration

The annual Confederate Memorial Day celebrations will be on April 1st this year. The lodging will be the same as years past at the Stone Mountain Days Inn. Most will arrive on Friday night for a social evening at the Hotel and leave out for home Saturday afternoon after the celebrations or Sunday morning. As last year we will collect the park entrance fee Friday night and early Saturday morning to speed up going through the gate. When you line up Saturday morning please make sure you have paid the fee. A picnic lunch will be provided for $6 (burger, chips and a drink) at the picnic area by the bike parking area before the celebration begins.

It is good to see these localities exercise their right to celebrate Confederate Heritage Month and Confederate Memorial Day.  There are many people here in the state who lost family members in that war and they never owned a slave.  They went because they wanted to protect their homes.  Many people are trying to rewrite history as though the Civil War never existed, but it did.  It is part of the history of Georgia and cannot be whitewashed away to suit certain parties who are no more than racist groups trying to destroy the history of Georgia and the good people of the state.  Please never forget your ancestors to make a group happy.

A Man Of Honor

A former Georgia State Trooper rode along with H.K. Edgerton to make sure no one bothered him on his walk up to Hogansville from LaGrange along Hwy 29 or Hogansville Rd.

 He was walking up Hogansville Road, I pulled up to him and we talked for a few. I offered him a ride, but he refused saying he was carrying the colors and marching for the cause. So I made sure I stayed on Hogansville road and he got safely to his resting point in Hogansville.

Mr. Edgerton, born in 1948 in North Carolina, has been a voice for those who wish to celebrate their Southern Heritage.  He was once the head of the NAACP Chapter in his hometown in North Carolina and later realized that what the people needed to understand was the truth.  He became a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans because one of his ancestors was in the war.  He has traveled the nation with the battle flag and has given numerous talks on the heritage that has been attacked by those who don't know better.  As he has said many times that flag does not belong to those pointed head people in the white robes.  It belongs to those poor dirt farmers who left their homes to try and protect them.  He has also remarked that many of the people who call themselves "civil rights workers" are no more than radicals who use the flag of the black panther movement as their symbol.  Mr. Edgerton is so tired of the society today wanting to rewrite the history books to suit what is politically correct for them.  That makes them no better than jackals trying to rape history and trying to make it all for nothing.  He said that the flag he totes never flew over a slave ship, only the United States flag and the flags of the European nations bringing the slaves to the West Indies to work the plantations across the islands, Central and South America and into North America.  Mr. Edgerton has been a voice for what is lacking in the South and that is guts to be able to stand for what you believe.  And he walked the lonely road in Georgia with a retired gentleman to make sure no one bothered him.

Councilman Alexander Supports Confederate History Month.

You may ask yourself how is this possible because Councilman Alexander has made it clear he does not support American Veterans. The last time I was able to talk to the Stockbridge City Council I told them of the U.S. Government making Confederate Veterans American Veterans. And yet Mr. Alexander was unable to learn what I was talking about. Or he refuses to learn the truth of the great Confederate Army. Last year Mr. Alexander was instrumental in denying me my constitutional right to address the Stockbridge City Council, which is part of Amendment 1 of the Bill of Rights which he so often uses in his defense,  to ask for a proclamation to honor our Confederate Veterans. All they had to do was either vote yea or nay, but to deny a person the right to speak because you are prejudiced is wrong.  He has admitted it when he was boasting about getting cleared of all ethics charges brought against him by several people including myself.

I have sources that have informed me of just how hard it is to work with Mr. Alexander. That he always thinks he knows what is best for the people of Stockbridge and it is usually what is best for making him look good or for his cronies. He also touts diversity to everyone, but only if it is his kind of diversity most of the time liberal progressives like himself don’t believe in diversity. I have been told and we all have seen this that he cannot stay away from the front of a camera that is being self-centered at its best. We have seen him on the news where he calls them just so he can be on TV and cuddle with a reporter and that is another question why is he putting his arms around a news reporter? Just what can cause someone to act like this. The city council may need to send him to a doctor like they did the former mayor. Someone that has an agenda for himself or someone that he is working for such as a friend from Atlanta. The last time I was around Mr. Alexander he would not look at me. But he did turn one time and I was right there. I noticed something disturbing I had been trained in a previous job I had in the 90s. His eyes were glassy and skin was waxy,  I do not know what is wrong with him, but these are some of the signs of a serious problem.

Stockbridge has gotten into worse shape while Mr. Alexander has been on the city Council. Because whatever is wrong with him it will bring Stockbridge down the same destructive path I fear he is on. The entity I worked for in the 90s have taken notice of the shenanigans going on in Stockbridge and I know if they have to come in it will not be good. I ask the citizens to help get him recalled or at least vote him out of office. Maybe even have the city council have him removed because he is doing everything in his power to have some of them removed in the next election.

So just how does he support Confederate History Month. By not letting me speak he lit a fire under me. I will be posting more here and on facebook about our Confederate Veterans for the entire month of April. You see he does not know me I am a very hard headed person that doesn’t give a damn about how people think of me. I have been called every name in the book throughout my life and I just don’t care anymore, so there!!!!
