Another Day in the Life of Henry County

Another Day in the Life of Henry County
Do you really want this to become the Atlanta South that is constantly preached to citizens in the area.  These four hoodlums break into a home while a child calls his mom and stays safe.  This report from Channel 46 News is a story of a regular occurrence now in Henry County.  The citizens must demand help in fighting back against this in the area before it is lost totally to gang activity.  It can be done if people demand it from the board of commissioners who are over the police department.  Henry County can do better if they want to.
Report shared from CBS 46:
MCDONOUGH, GA (CBS46) -
An 11 year-old boy kept his cool and calmed his mother over the phone as four teens broke into the family's home.
The incident happened inside the family's home in McDonough.
The 11 year-old boy, whose mother doesn't want to be identified, says he heard a window breaking so he ran to a safe place to call his mother. The child's mother, who we'll only identify as Tenisha, says it seemed like a movie playing out in real life.
She says she felt terrorized when her son called her to tell her that something wasn't right.
"The only thing that I could see in my mind was the movie 'Taken'," said Tenisha. "I could just see somebody just coming in and taking him away. I was asking what was wrong and he said 'Mommy, I think someone is robbing the house'."
Tenisha says her son was alone at home when he heard a knock at the door. He saw four people circling the house and then heard the smashing of glass. That's when the boy ran to his room and called  his mother.
Tenisha says the first thing her son told her was, "Mommy, I need you to stay calm. That's the only way I'm going to stay calm. I need you to stay calm".
"It's a good thing that he was quickly responsive to what he heard because it could have been so different," said Tenisha. "I've always told him if you get into a situation, the only way that you're going to be able to think clearly is if you stay calm."
The police were called and Henry County officers arrived as the burglars were attempting to get away. They were apprehended and all four teens are facing burglary charges.
The suspects are:
Cody Demarcus Daniels, 17
Jordan Lamar Jones-Kurdi, 18
Terry Nichols Lucien, 19
Trelan DeJuan Spencer, 18
Fortunately, the boy wasn't hurt. The family says they don't think the burglars even knew he was in the house.

Why Hillary Lost

Why Hillary Lost

There are people out in America at this moment who do not understand why Hillary Clinton lost her bid to be President of the United States.  Ms. Clinton did well in the major cities and those metro areas attached to them, but it was the small towns and rural areas she underestimated.  Donald Trump brought something to the plate that Hillary Clinton failed to do.  He set a tone and message with the middle class and poor America that made them feel better and they could see something there that would make a difference in their lives.  All they saw in Hillary Clinton was the same old politician that would bring more of the same that they had grown sick of.  They also saw someone with power and money to try and buy what they wanted even if it meant destroying others. They see Donald Trump as something new for Washington.

Why I Am Not Voting For June Wood

Why I Am Not Voting For June Wood.
My experience serving with June Wood on the School Council at Eagles Landing High:

I found her to be polite and someone I liked as a person. But as an elected official I found June to be a “go along to get along person” following the principals lead for a do nothing School Council. Georgia Law provides a minimum specific list of activities and areas of interest for School Councils to explore. We did none of them, and when I asked her to support a move in that direction I did not get it. Which on first impression makes me come across as a sore loser; the truth, I, was not the loser because I tried, I fought, and I failed. The students, the teachers, the principal (yes the Principal), and the parents in the school community were the losers. Why? Because the community did not get the best we could have given as its servants. The difference between myself and some others; I take my responsibilities toward the public seriously. I would rather fail by doing my best to serve, than fail by going along to get along. I cannot say the same for June Wood in our shared experience.

I also freely admit the elected school Council position is lower on the ladder than Dog Catcher, and you don’t receive any compensation beyond knowing you did your best. Still, elected members are required to follow the guidance provided in Georgia law, do what is right for the school community, without agenda, and without an axe to grind.

If June Wood cannot or would not serve as required or lead in a school community as small as Eagles Landing, what can we expect her to do for Henry County?

Can she play politics?
I have observed her playing the game.
Does she have a history of standing up and taking the hit on the job for the community?
Not that I am aware of.
But if you know a different story, it would be interesting to read it.
I wish her well.

Don’t Believe The Lie Of Diversity In Stockbridge, Georgia.

Don’t Believe The Lie Of Diversity In Stockbridge, Georgia.

This past Saturday September 24,2016 the City of Stockbridge proved it is not a diverse city as it claims to be. They held their Bridgefest on this day. But they also included Hispanifest and even presented a proclamation to the fact. Many people may remember back in March of this year I asked to be put on the agenda to ask for a proclamation to recognize Confederate Heritage and History Month in April. I was not even aloud my first amendment right to ask for this. The City council is being subdivided by a junior Councilman that I think is a complete ignorant  buffoon that has some problems learning the truth. If he knew the truth he would know that the Confederate Army was a diverse force with whites, blacks, chinese and hispanics in the service of the Confederate Government. But the poor thing can’t learn that or he doesn't want to learn it. To be a true diverse city Stockbridge needs to embrace all and that includes Confederate History. I have said it before if Stockbridge can’t recognize all, then they must stop giving out proclamations to all and I mean all. You can not pick and choose the ones you want to celebrate it’s all or none.

9/11 Hijacked Again

9/11 Hijacked Again

For years I have been writing about how Henry County holds a remembrance service on 9/11. The problem is the place they hold it is too dangerous for parents to bring their kids so the kids can learn and respect what happened that day in 2001. The County holds the service at the intersection of Hwy 81 at the Walmart drive just a few yards from the Interstate I-75 ramp. If the County does not know how to hold a proper service then here is some free advice. You have a park called Heritage Park with a Veterans Wall of Honor that has a depiction of the Twin Towers on the wall. This is a great place to hold the 9/11 remembrance services people can bring their children, it is a safe place for them to learn.
McDonough's 9/11 Service Location

Now this year 2016 comes a move by the most moronic City in Henry County. For the first time ever Stockbridge decides to hold a 9/11 service. Where do they decide to hold it, wait for it. At the intersection of Hwy 42 & 138 at the Walmart drive. Has 9/11 become the Walmart service day? Now we all know Stockbridge can’t run the City too well. They have maybe two Council members that know what they are doing, but the rest well let's just say they need a little help, the poor things. So here is some free advice for Stockbridge. You have a park called Memorial Park that would be a lot safer than the middle of a State Hwy intersection. You also have the park next to the conference center that can hold a large crowd.
Stockbridge's 9/11 Service Location

I looked at photos of both events and hardly anyone showed up. And in Stockbridge more photos were taken than people in attendance. They even had Ch 11 Alive come down to cover the event. All Stockbridge did was to hijack 9/11 for their own gain.

Also there was a prayer service put on by community leaders that evening in McDonough. Reading over the list of things they were going to talk and pray about I noticed that yes they were going to talk about first responders and pray for them because of the tensions going on now with the anti- police movement that is infesting our Nation at this time. Nothing about the people that died that day in 2001 was listed. What has this nation come to when people take such a tragic day and turn it into a publicity stunt. It’s time we get new community leaders that have morals and integrity to do the right thing and not belittle the deaths of 3000 Americans.

It’s Been Fifteen Years Of Darkness

It’s Been Fifteen Years Of Darkness

Sweetheart it’s been fifteen years since my world ended and life became cold, lonely and empty without you as my wife. The day you were killed a large part of me died too and I have not been the same since. I have thought and cried for you every day since that  September day. Friends and family have told me I need to move on with my life. But how do you do that when a large part of my life is missing. Your best friend Jill has been talking to me. She told me you would want me to move on and make another lady as happy as I made you. I have been giving it thought but I always think about you and I stumble back into my cold dark hole in my heart. Later this month I will turn 49 years old, you know baby one of my biggest fears was being alone. I have struggled for 15 years of being alone without you in my life. I am writing a book about our 6 years together in hopes that sharing our story with family and close friends will help me heal and give a better understanding of what we meant to each other and the pain I am in and have been in for 15 years. You will always have a large part of my heart till the day I die sweetheart even if I move on with another lady in my life. You made an impact on my life that I will never forget. You gave me hope that I had value in this world by your love for me and my family. You showed me that even someone like me could be loved by a beautiful, smart lady like you. You gave me the strength to do the best I could in all I would do. You had me sitting on top of the world with your beautiful blue eyes looking into mine and saying you loved me with all your heart. I will never ever forget how much you changed my life and what all you did for me. Baby you were my love of a lifetime.

Famine

He sits in a cold lonely corner crying,
His eyes watery and red with no signs of drying.

He remembers times of the past with a gleam in his eye,
Those times were great, he felt so alive to be happy he must try.

He looks around his house at all that could be,
But he also sees the emptiness of it and the cold returns by degree.

He remembers the beautiful love he had,
Death took her in an instant and times he gets mad.

At times he puts up a good fight to keep trying,
But the slightest setback and he is back in the corner crying.

Without his own family, he can’t seem to get a good life to start,
He returns to the cold lonely corner crying suffering from famine of the soul and heart.

As we remember the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 remember we are still in danger from terrorist to this day. We must remember the families that lost loved ones on this day. They are still hurting and will be hurting for the rest of their lives. It’s been 15 years and I see a diminishing of events to honor those that died that day and that died to punish the offenders. I do not understand this at all. We were attacked and our loved ones were murdered on that day. Do you not give a damn about your own friends and family? We must fight to preserve our way of life and if that means closing all borders and immigration into the Country then so be it and if it means kicking out some then so be it too. We need to build up our military to be the biggest baddest beast there is in the world. We must fund the FBI, NSA and CIA so the military knows what to fight and kick ass.  It’s time America took a stand and to hell with what the rest of the world thinks about us. Now let’s get to work people we are Americans!!
