Fast Radio Burst

Many scientists and astrophysicists are studying a particular FRB (Fast Radio Bursts) which are coming from a very small galaxy over 3 billion light years away.  This FRB known as 121102 was discovered in 2012.  It has been studied by the Max Planck Institute in Germany as well as at many observatories around the world.  This is a very strange FRB in that it is a repeater.  These FRB's are not known to be repeating as this one is doing.  Many are wondering why and how this is occurring especially on regular intervals.

Here is what many have summed up about this FRB.  "But some of the authors also cautioned that the repeating nature of FRB 121102 could indicate that it is somehow physically different than other known FRB's. FRB 121102 is not alone. The researchers also found a persistent source of radio waves in the same area of the sky, and the evidence suggests that both sources of radio waves are connected somehow; they either arose from the same source or are linked in some other way, the researchers said. The results of these studies will appear in three separate papers on Jan. 5 — one in the journal Nature and two in The Astrophysical Journal Letters."  This subject will continue to be studied in the years to come to try and come up with a feasible idea as to why this is occurring.

A Dangerous Visitor from Deep Space

On June 2, 2016, at 3:56 AM an asteroid 10 feet across came directly at the earth from behind Mars. The asteroid exploded just 70,000 feet above the surface of the earth over the desert region between Phoenix and Tuscon, Arizona. The explosion was recorded on seismic detectors and the flash was as bright as the mid-day sun. The asteroid was traveling at 42,200 MPH. The resulting explosion was equivalent to 10 Kilotons. That is roughly 2/3 the size of the Hiroshima, Japan atomic blast. The object was only milliseconds away from striking Tuscon. If this had exploded over a large populated area there would have been serious destruction and casualties.

When the asteroid exploded, local doppler radars picked up the debris falling to the surface. That means there are several pieces of meteorite material in the desert just north of Tuscon. An object like this was just a shot across the bow for some of the larger objects being found as of late are at least a mile wide. Pray one of those monsters doesn't come to the surface of the earth.

NASA has reported that they have discovered three areas of weakness in the magnetic field.  One over eastern South America and the South Atlantic, the Middle East and the SW region of the Pacific which is the largest and most active area for earthquakes.  In these areas there has been a dramatic increase of earthquakes in the 4.0 - 6.0 range on the Richter Scale.
Seismologist, geologist, physicist and technicians from the Satellite survey department are working together to find if there is a relationship between the quakes and the weakness in the magnetic field that protects the earth from shock waves from the sun.  The quakes on the average of every 7 out of 10 are within the first 10 miles of the earths crust.  Making them very shallow.
There should be more information forthcoming about this issue and how it will affect the lives of millions of people.

“It’s Time to Move Forward”

Henry County is the county that has missed many chances over the years, but those can be found if we try as citizens to move forward toward the betterment of our community. Now is the time to extend hands across the divide and work for a compromise to make our communities better places to live and to leave our eyes open to possibly better ideas for the future. I have been in Henry County for just over 40 years now. We bought property here to build a home in 1967 in the Luella area. Henry County is the home of my great great great grandparents Matthew and Evilene Goss who moved here in 1835 in the area between Bear Creek (Hampton) and what would become Locust Grove. This county means a great deal to me. In grade school, we lived in the southern part of DeKalb County before moving here full time.

But by looking at the past I can see a bright future if we plan it correctly and give the citizens chances to truly put their feelings into what is happening. I can seen in the years to come the Norfolk Southern Rail Yard planned for the Bethlehem Rd. area along Hwy 42. This yard will take in containers from ships at the Port of Savannah and place them on trucks to be routed in all directions for the destinations they are planned to fill warehouses for distribution.

We have the opportunity for our history to bring in dollars to the county coffers if we plan that well. There are sites from the Native American Period, the Civil War and areas where historical people have lived in our communities. This can bring in tourism and trade that will help local restaurants, hotels and stores. We are coming upon the 200th anniversary of this county in 2021. That is not that many years away now and now is the time to begin planning for this event.

I personally have discussed with other associates about the Orion Space Project that is being developed for NASA. They will need better and improved tracking systems and locations to locate them. Henry County could benefit from this project that will mean millions of dollars to the county. But that is only in the discussions as this will be something that is likely 5-10 years down the road.

Given our airport at Hampton near the raceway the airport is being lengthened and can be a new hub for air traffic and for commerce. That is something that can be worked on as time continues to move on. The airport authority is well on the path to creating a viable aircraft site for our county.

I can see something like a “Gone with the Wind” theme park in the Hampton-Lovejoy area that could benefit not only Henry County, but Clayton County as well. There are several avenues of how this can be planned and appropriated if it is worked correctly and with the right people to be behind the project.

We can invite movie studios to our County to use some of our large empty warehouses for sound stages. They can make it work for them and bring money to our area as well. This would fill an empty space and make Henry County part of the film industry in the process. This is a good idea that maybe can be brought to fruition.

The main course of commerce will be along the I-75 corridor through the county. It has built up along the path already, but this will continue to grow in the coming years bringing in fine dining and places to shop that we don’t already have here to do. It would be nice to see some even more fine restaurants locate here and for some good places for people to shop.

I remember telling people in the county years ago that we needed a flea market that would bring in people. Well, they helped to bring in Peachtree Peddlers in 1993 and look at the size of the complex today with people shopping their from all over. It has turned into a success and a success for Henry County in the process.

Let’s all be in the process of keeping our roadways clean. Adopt sections of roads and pick up the trash that looks so bad on our roads. We don’t want to be known as the trash county. And while we are cleaning up our roadways let’s clean and make our old cemeteries look good. It’s the right thing to do.

We have potential here for something even better than what we have today if it is planned and worked out correctly. We need to listen to the older generation of this county who have been here since their youth and don’t push them aside because they have created the foundation of this county and it is wrong to alienate them from the process. Give them a chance and let’s give Henry County and our towns a chance to blossom. Thank you all for reading.

Earth We Have A Problem

In late 2014 Dr. Mike Moon and myself started gathering information on the Earthquakes that we had seen a uptick in. For one month I gathered all Earthquake information for quakes 3.0 and larger around the world. In the one month I gathered information on 360 Earthquakes. The main thing we were looking at was the depth of the quakes. The depth that stood out to us was 10Km.
Out of the 360 quakes there were 94 quakes at 10Km deep, that's 26.11% of the quakes in that one month was at 10Km deep. Why is this important? Because 10Km is 1% of the Earths crust, but that one percent is solid. So why is the solid part of the crust moving so much. We know that the core of the Earth is a solid Iron with a liquid outer core. If something is going on with the outer liquid core it would put pressure on the outer crust and cause the quakes to occur. One problem could be that we are in a time that the Earth's magnetic field is in a time of change. It has been documented the the North pole has shifted in the past 200 years. This could weaken part of the core and cause it to wobble internally displacing the liquid core and putting strain on the crust.

Another idea is the core it's self is starting to cool and become unstable. Earthquakes happen everyday and sometimes we feel them and sometimes we don't. For you reading this in Henry County, Georgia here is a little history for you. One of the strongest Earthquakes to happen in Georgia was in Henry County down at the Snapping Shoals in the South East part of the County in 1915.
A lot of people don't understand that the Earth is a living thing and it is always on the move.

Below Dr. Mike Moon who has a PhD in physics on both the Earth and space will write about a few other possibilities as to what is causing these shallow Earthquakes to happen.

 Let us take a look at astronomical features or anomalies that can likely effect earthquake activity on the earth.  As many know we are in the period of solar max and we have been bombarded by several rounds of coronal mass ejections from flares on the suns surface.  Along with these events are waves of disturbance that when reaching the earth strike points on the particular side of the earth facing the event.  These events have subtle changes on the earths upper crust, thus, the shallow earthquakes in the 10 km depth range.   S=CME/E x T   (S being the sun; CME coronal mass ejection; E the earth and T is time.)

And there has been the discovery of the phenomenon that short-term anomalous fluctuations appeared in residuals of astronomical time and latitude observations before earthquakes and the progress of related researches carried out for many years. The
relations between the anomalous variations of time and latitude residuals of astronomical time and latitude instruments in different regions and the earthquakes around these instruments as well as the characteristics of residuals’ anomalous variations have been analyzed. The significance of the anomalous fluctuations in residuals of astronomical time and latitude caused by the anomalous variations of the local plumb line before earthquake and detecting the vertical variation with astronomical time and latitude observations as well as the importance of carrying out further researches are imperative.

Other astronomical issues that need to be taken into consideration are the facts that the earth is not on a concise orbital plane around the sun.  The passage of large objects well away from the earth can cause minute variations in the earth during their passage and lead to shallow quake activity on a low range scale.

Another factor are the larger outer planets when they make their closest approach to the sun and earth.  These events only happen every couple of hundred years, but they do occur.  This puts further strain on the earth causing it to wobble or bulge thus affecting the upper crust.

Now another problem that has been shown is that there is a definite weakness in the crust in the area of the SW Pacific around Indonesia and Polynesia.  There have been scores of earthquakes in this area in the 5km level and on multiple times in a solar day.  This area is where the very large quake of 2004 that generated the large tsunami that killed so many in the Indian Ocean area.  The satellite imagery of the area indicates that the whole region is bulging and to release this type of pressure will come through the many volcanoes in the region.  The ring of fire is very active and will likely to become more active in the months ahead.

The measurements from the inner core of the earth show a bulge from the core toward the surface.  This has already caused ice to melt and break off of Antarctica.  Global Warming had nothing to do with this process as detected by instruments that show the land below warming from inside.  This will continue until the bulge subsides within.

The earth is going through various cycles that show geomagnetic changes that can effect sounds from the earth.  Much of the unusual booms that have been recorded around the world are coming from the earth itself.  It is known that the North Pole or true north has been drifting towards Siberia for some time now.  It has caused problems with air travel and ships at sea having to make adjustments to their instruments so that they will arrive at their destinations instead of off course.

We will continue to monitor the earthquake activity to see how things progress in the coming months.  We will also explain later how the area we live in here in Georgia is prone to quakes of smaller size due to subduction of the land beneath us.  Thank you for your time and Mr. Britt and I appreciate the opportunity to work on this venture.
