We want to thank those who went out and voted in the Primary election of March 1, 2016. We still have a problem here with voter apathy. Our county has over 215,000 residents of whom 109,025 are registered to vote. There were 37,324 who bothered to vote in the primary which is 34.23% of the registered voters. There were 14,529 Democrat votes which is 13.4%. There were 22,532 Republican votes which is 20.7% of the votes. If our people ever expect to make any changes in the system, then they must exercise their right to vote. Mrs. Clinton won the line share of the Democrat votes in Henry County and Mr. Trump won the line share for the Republicans in Henry County. Please remember there will be another primary in May so please be ready to go and vote because it is important.
The Staff.
